Our Story

Winthrop Row is a Boston clothing label made for the long New England fall — designed on Columbia Road, built to be worn for many seasons, and priced so you can actually own it.

How it started

Winthrop Row began with a simple observation in our own closets: the pieces we reached for every October — the camel coat, the cable knit, the good pair of boots — were always the ones made with care. Yet finding them meant choosing between investment prices and fast fashion that barely lasted a season. We wanted a third option.

So we started designing it ourselves, in a city where the weather tests every seam: crisp mornings along the Charles, wet Atlantic wind at the harbor, the first snow on the brick sidewalks of Beacon Hill. Every Winthrop Row piece is chosen with that rhythm in mind — layers that work from a walk through the Public Garden to dinner in the South End.
